How can Modelocity Online help me get my career started?

Modelocity Online gives you directional guidance on where you can have the most success with what you have. If what you have still is not opening doors, Modelocity Online will give you suggestions on what to do next. Giving up is not an option. We are here to help you lay the foundation for your career and  to know when to knock on the  right doors.

How can I get in the magazine?

Some of our readers have been trying to get their big break for years. Through the years girls have found wonderful photographers, talented makeup artists and hair stylists to do a photo shoot. Only a few will ever see those photos. We want you to submit your best professional shots for possible publication. Who knows, maybe you will end up in our editorial pages or the cover. Use the submit tab on this site to submit your best photos.  As we stated in question one, we love it when our readers send in photos to be featured in our publications. We are here to help you ‘turn your look into a career”.

What type of photos are you looking for?

We are not looking for booty shots or anything that looks like it should be in a porn magazine. Modelocity Online is about getting girls into the main stream modeling industry. Don’t send photos of you sitting next to family members and don’t cut them out of the photo unless you want to be on the ‘Don’t Do This’ page. The photos that get into the magazine are the ones that clearly have done their homework.

What should I do if I don’t have any photos?

Not having photos is like a dentist not having the proper tools to clean your teeth. This magazine accepts photos submissions. If you do not have photos, then keep reading Modelocity Online to learn how to pose in front of a camera. When you are ready find a photographer who specializes in fashion photos, get a hair/makeup person and start taking photos. Remember, you can email us at MOMagazine@modelocityonline.com when you don’t know what to do next.

How can I get critiques of my photos?

Submit your photos on the Photo Submission page and tell us you want a photo critique. Our panel of industry experts will critique your  photo by email or post it on our  website or in the magazine. Only VIP members can get a photo critique.

How can I have my questions answered about modeling without having to wait for the next issue?

How many photos can I send?

There is no limit on the number of photos you can send but we recommend a minimum of three photos.

Will you post my photos online?

Yes, we are an online magazine.  We will only post your photos on Modelocity Online website or on the editorial pages of Modelocity Online.  The purpose for you to send your photos in is to get a chance to receive a tearsheet from Modelocity Online.  Our creative team will look at their editorial content to see if there are any submitted photos that match the topic.  

I don't live in the U.S. or Canada. can is still submit my photos?

Absolutely! We are on the World Wide Web.  That is the beauty of being an online magazine.  No telling what types of wonderful, worldly opportunities will appear when you submit your photos.

How do I become a featured model?

Submit your photos.  If they are really good we will feature you in our “Model Spotlight” section.  You will be contacted if your photo is selected.

Is there a fee to submit my photos?

No.  Some of you are very creative and have been waiting for your big break for a long time.  Good photos should be featured.  Modelocity Online is here to help you get your career off the ground.

Is there any pay?

When you send your photos in for possible publication there is no pay.  There is something better.  A Tearsheet.  In this industry tearsheets in your book is better than just having photos.  Having a tearsheet in your book means that an editor thought you were good enough to be featured in the magazine for everyone to see.

What are your age, height and size requirements?

With the explosion of reality television, all types are needed.  We have no restrictions on the type of models who can submit photos. Many of the modeling agencies we scout for have commercial modeling, plus-size modeling, petite modeling and child modeling divisions. We accept photo submissions from petite models, plus size models, child models, infant models and mature models.

Do you accept photos of Male Models?

Yes, we accept photo submissions of male models

Do you accept photos of Mature Models?

Yes, The reality television show “She’s Got The Look” opened the door for mature models to pursue an opportunity that may have been missed when they were younger.

Do you accept photos of Petite and Plus Size Models?

Yes, Our editor produced the Ms. Big Beautiful Doll pageant for seven years and interviewed the contestants from America’s Next Top Model when they had their petite model competition.

Do you accept photos of Hand, Foot or Parts Models?

Yes, we will use them in our editorial section when talking about parts modeling.  We try to show you how to use everything you have to get into modeling; even if it’s only a part of you.

Do I need to have modeling experience?

No, We are an online publication; therefore, as long as the photos are good, you have a good chance of being featured in our editorial sections or the model spotlight section without any experience.  You either have “It” or you don’t
