WEEKLY MODEL’S CHALLENGE
When you are participating in reality shows, you sign up to do whatever the producers want.  When you're a model, you are hired to wear whatever the designers want.  When you are a beginner, you are wallpaper.  You have no opinion to be true to yourself.  Know that before you start telling people how you think something should be done.  If you can't follow their rules, then get power, money and skills so that you can one day call the shots.

  1. The First To Go…  America’s Next Top Model

    ANGELIA

    By Belinda Trotter-James

There are very few times in life when it’s not good to be the first.  Getting eliminated from America’s Next Top Model is one of those times.  Angelia Alvarez is the first girl to be eliminated and she does not have a clue why.  Before appearing on the show, Angelia was working in a bar, going to collage for marine biology and building a modeling career.  This is why she could not figure why she was the first to go.  When the photographer was taking photos of everyone behind stage, he tried to capture natural photos.  “I was caught off guard and did not think that was the best photo.  I did not get a chance to see the other photos,” says Angelia.  Walking in a plastic bubble could not have been an easy task.  “I don’t think other models ever had to walk on water in a plastic bubble,” started Angelia.  “I was trying to look straight, not look down and keep the bubble straight by stretching my leg out as I walked.  However, it looked as though I was marching,” she laughs.

Even though she was on the show for a very short time it was a great experience.  “I learned a lot about fashion and what to expect,” says Angelia.  “My advice to other girls is to be ready for reality and keep going.”

Angelia has two more years to go before she graduates from college.  Hopefully she learned enough with top model to keep her moving forward to pursue a modeling career.

Tune in next time to see who will be the next girl to lose a chance at becoming America’s Next Top Model.  Get your model news fix at www.zinio.com/modelocityonline
